Greetings - I'm an artist, college professor and curator living and working in seattle. I have two Master's degrees ( Art and Film Studies ) and have been at my present job for the last four years. Although I've been filing taxes the last several years, i've not been able to actually pay anything on them - due to caring for my terminally ill mother. In short, my mother came before the tax man. My mother has now passed ( which is a blessing in many ways, although i miss her dearly ) and the taxes are now due in a lump sum payment.
