I am in the process of starting a new business to help me make some money on the side and I really need some newer and better equipment. I'm a photographer by hobby but I'm in the process of that actually becoming a money making venture. I just shot a wedding two months ago and I have two more already scheduled. I find that I would like to consolidate the high interest bills that I have into one payment and that will leave me more room to buy the equipment that I need. I currently am four payments away from paying off my 2002 Mustang and that will leave me $400 a month to put towards my loan payment. I already have a second vehicle that is completely paid for and I live in a home that I only have to pay the bills for as it is already paid for. If I receive this loan, I'll only have this payment and my month to month living expenses to worry about. The home that I live in is paid for and owned by my family. I currently clear $3600 a month from my regular paycheck (I have my most current stub) and $360 from one of the off duty jobs that I work once a week four times a month for $90 a job. That's almost $4000 a month and that's before I pick up any other off duty jobs or sell anything on Ebay. (I currently have tons of items listed for sale). The main reason that I want to consolidate is so that I can get my equipment and so that I can only have a couple of payments (other than my normal household payments) to worry about per month. It would be much easier for me to pay everything off more quickly with only one big payment rather than numerous small ones. Within the last two years I actually paid off about $30,000 worth of debt to be able to finally free myself from some debt that was accrued with my ex-boyfriend. In doing that, I've gotten a few more bills of my own that I originally intended and I would like to be done with everything and be debt free within two years. Quite a number of the recent inquiries on my credit history are basically the fault of my stupidity and my taking part in several of those "free" item offers on the internet. Did you know that to get a "free" laptop, you have to fill out quite a number of requests for credit cards? And did you know that completely demolishes your credit score? I didn't until the damage was done. The only deliquent payment is from July 2005 with Lane Bryant and I was two days late with a payment because I took it to them rather than mailing it beforehand. Eight of the accounts listed on my Experian report belong to my ex-boyfriend (as we had some combined history) and three of them belong to my mom (who I also have some combined history with). There are a number of accounts that are "active" but have no balance as I am paying off cards and then no longer using them in my two year plan. I'm the only female Sergeant at the police department I work for and I've worked there for 15 years this October. I've been a Sergeant for 11 of those years worked. Since I'm currently single (unless my lab counts as a dependant) I am free to work numerous and assorted off duty jobs to help supplement my income. I also sell quite a bit on Ebay and that helps too. Obviously, I'm not going anywhere and I have a large chunk of money coming to me if I do that would pay off this loan and any other bills I might have. Net Income: $3960 (before any other off duty jobs and Ebay) I intend to step up my selling on Ebay and grab any other off duty jobs available to help me more quickly pay off my debt. I also plan on cutting down my expenditures to the bare minimum for the next two years until all of my obligations are completely paid for. I want to live debt free!! |
