I am excited about the opportunity Prosper presents itself as a way to stick it to the credit card company that has been charging me high interest rate and banks that won't loan for cars over 4-5 years old. I graduated from college with debt I had to use credit cards to help finish. I have since graduated and have obtained a job from a local hospital in their physical therapy department making a good salary of approximately $3,000 month. My husband and I own a home together but his salary pays the mortgage and bills, my salary is free for food and other items not bill related. Here are the facts for how the $20,000 will be used: $12,000 (Bank of America) - As noted above the $12,000 is on a BoA card at about 14% interest. I have tried talking them into a lower rate, but the best they can do is 14%. $8,000 (Used Car) - My father owns a garage so I am a believer in buying used high mileage cars. The car I have now is an old Saturn, but I have been pricing used 4Runners and have found several I believe with a little extra cash I have I could get and keep for another four or five years. The Saturn will be sold after a replacement is found and those funds will be used to pay this note which because it is so old will only be about $1,500. Banks traditionally even if they loan for used its usually really high rate. I appreciate you taking time to read my request and hope you consider funding.
