ADMINISTRATION: Supervise; provide direction to other staff on code process, and procedures. Ensure consistency, and compliance with codes and orders.
ENFORCEMENT: Revise code and administrative rules. Implement enforcement matrix used in civil penalty process. Organized and facilitated public meetings, developing goals, and proposed code changes. Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and presentations.
 EDUCATIONAL: Develop educational materials, and presentations. Conduct seminars and training opportunities for field staff.  Develop fact sheets, web links, and presentations. Interviewed for national televised educational program on environmental issues.
COMMUNICATION: Work with Department of Environmental Quality to administer and monitor construction permits, including documentation, fee collection, enforcement and quarterly reporting. Lead correspondence between the DEQ and the city.
DOCCUMENTATION: Daily records and inspection reports. Log violations, collect data including photographs, prepare reports, and legal letters for enforcement cases. Maintain accurate permitting information on all construction activity.
