I am 32 years old and have been with my current employer for 3 years. In my 20s I had a few bad patches financially. Namely, I had low-paying jobs and was laid off twice (once from a dot-com and once from a family-owned firm that folded).  Thus, I ended up living paycheck-to-paycheck and sometimes on credit cards. I definitely regret it!  

Now that I?m making a decent salary and have financial security, I?m interested in paying down all my debt so that I can plan for the future ? develop some savings, buy a house within three years.   I?m determined and dedicated to paying my lenders on time every month. It will feel so good to make down these long-standing, high interest debts and I appreciate you reading my request.  If my loan is filled, I'll definitely stay active on Prosper.com and pay back to the community.  

This loan will pay off the following debts:     
  • American Express -- $3,600        
  • Citibank -- $4,300 
  • Discover Card -- $1,700        
  • Beneficial -- $2,800        
  • Dept store cards -- $400  
Getting rid of these high interest cards will make it easy for me to pay back to Prosper.com.
