In 2004 I was called to serve in Iraq. After getting back in 2005 I fell very ill. I was in and out of hospitals for 5 months before I was able to finally get into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Within a week they were able to diagnose me with Crohn's disease. At the time I didn't have health insurance and incurred a substantial amount of debt.
