About me: My name is James, and I am a 25-year-old journalist. I have worked at my present job for six years and own a part-time photography business which I run out of my home. I am married with two young kiddos and my family is the light of my life. About my credit: On the positive, I have never, ever missed a single payment of any kind on any manner of debt. I have never made a late payment, much less let anything slip past 30 days. I have no negative marks on my credit, no delinquencies, no charge-offs; nothing. I do not fail to pay my bills, no matter what. What I will do with the money loaned to me: The cards I wish to pay off are as follows: Wells Fargo Visa, Balance: $3,323.19, Interest rate: 22.35%, Monthly payment: $102. Gordon's Jewelers, Bal. $1,942.79, Int. 23.73%, Payment $64 Dell, Bal. $1,096.59, Int. 29.99%, Payment $35 The remainder I would invest in a small amount of photography equipment to extend my service capabilities, and use mostly to begin marketing my business in the community to create a more diverse and secure base of clientele. How I plan to pay back my Prosper loan: I will use a portion of my existing business income, along with the money I will save by converting these credit cards to a lower-interest debt, to ensure my Prosper loan is paid on time every time. My monthly financial details: Day Job Income: $1,700 average net (I am paid twice monthly $1,570 net, with an extra week's pay thrown in every three months) Part-time Income: $1,200 third- and fourth-quarter 2006 average, $1,500 projected average for 2007 (already met and exceeded for January 2007) Oil royalties income: $100 average (inherited oil land) Mortgage: $463 Auto: $405 All Revolving Debt: $563 Car & House Insurance: $127 Utilities: $75 Cell Phone: $59 My monthly bills take up all of my full-time income, but my business income provides more than enough cushion for living expenses and debt repayment. This leaves close to $1,000 for living expenses and further debt repayment after my monthly Prosper loan payment is made. Thank you: I know the interest I pay through Prosper will go into the hands of savvy investors instead of being mere numbers on a corporate spreadsheet. As this is my first loan through Prosper, I have joined a five-star group that promotes and demands borrower responsibility and on-time payment of debts, which as my history proves, is something I also demand of myself. I feel that my spotless history of on-time payments of all debts, as well as my business acumen and consistent work history, warrant a strong look by smart investors. Thank you for your consideration! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and I will post Q&A's to my profile description as warranted.
