We have just moved from a tiny condo with three dogs to a nice house in Tx. Since moving in to this house I have been focused on my financial health. Over past year my credit card debt has nearly doubled due to two major events in my life. One I tried my hand at flipping a house, I held on to it too long and didn?t make any profit. I did receive some cash but I elected to put it in to my new home. (see the pics above) That leads us to my second major event, the purchase of my new home. During the transition from the condo to the house I had put some home improvements on the card hoping my year end bonus would then pay for them. Well my bonus was half of what I expected so those items are still outstanding. I have two marks on my credit in the past 7 year. The first and current one is an outstanding Cable bill for $89. I have contacted ATT (which I have internet, phone, and a cell phone thru) to have this removed. The second is a misunderstanding with a Best Buy card. I had purchased something for 0% for 12 months. It took me 13 months to pay and the accrued interest kicked in and I didn't notice it. So with your help I will be able to reduce my interest rate and get these cards paid off.
