My name is Brian and I am a 23 years old soldier on Active Duty in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Sill, OK. I am here with my wife, Jenny, (also an Active Duty Soldier) and our two year old daughter. My wife and I met in Korea where we were stationed prior to Oklahoma; this is also where our daughter was born.

When we got to Fort Sill we had nothing (no furniture, dishes, linens - nothing but our gear and our clothes). This is what opened the door on our debt. Below is a quick break down of our debts. If the loan is granted payback would improve our monthly cash flow for the simple fact that we would no longer have as many or as much monthly payments to make.

BEFORE PROSPER LOAN

Total take home pay $ 5083.80
Total all bills $ 4913.93
After all bills are paid $ 169.87

2 Vehicles monthly payment $ 1165
Insurance for vehicles $ 194
1st and 2nd mortgage $ 1186
Utilities $ 603 (includes cable, phone, etc.)
Misc payday loans $ 350 (Payoff combined $ 3000) To Be Paid w/ Prosper
Day Care $ 340 ? 425
Groceries $ 300
Gas $ 300
Misc/Other Spending $100
Personal loan #1 $150 ($3900 Balance)
Personal loan #2 $250 ($6000 Balance)
#1 Credit card $ 40 (Payoff $ 2000) To Be Paid w/ Prosper
#2 Credit card $ 30 (Payoff $ 200) To Be Paid w/ Prosper
#3 Credit card $ 30 (Payoff $ 500) To Be Paid w/ Prosper

AFTER PROSPER LOAN

Total take home pay $ 5083.80
Total From Above -$450 debts paid off + $260 (Prosper) = $4724.93
After all bills paid $ 358.87

Goal is to use this loan to pay off the payday loans ($3000), credit cards ($2700). The remaining will be used for making some small home improvements. Our initial plan was to borrow enough to consolidate all of our unsecured debt & do some upgrades to our home. We now realize $20,000 is too much based on my credit rating and APR cap.

You can see that my credit file started last year when we arrived in OK. I enlisted in the army 5 years ago at the age of 18, and had no reason to use credit until we returned to the US. Though my file is short, I have a perfect payment history and plan to keep it that way! Please note: my DTI does not consider my wife?s income, but all of our debts are joint.

This loan is our chance to get a fresh start. My family and I thank you for taking the time to read about us and consider our loan request.
