I used to own a first generation PowerBook G4 "TiBook," but I had to sell it three summers ago in order to pay my bills. The reason I was low on cash is because I was working on getting into the environmental organizing field. It took me most of that year (2004), but I finally landed a great job with U.S. PIRG as an online organizer. I've been in this position since August of 2004, and plan to stay. It's my career and I love it. But, I miss my Apple laptop quite a bit. The design, the attention to detail, and of course OS X are all second-to-none. I can't afford to buy one all at once, and the interest rates here can't be beat. This may or may not matter to you potential lenders, but in case it does: I would primarily use this laptop when working from home or while traveling to help further U.S. PIRG's work on environmental, consumer rights, and good government issues. I passionately believe in this work, and welcome lenders who enjoy knowing that they are contributing to it. The only major debt I have is my student loan, and I have recently paid off an old credit card debt from college. I did this the same way Prosper works, by setting up a regular debit from my checking account so that they credit card would get paid biweekly automatically. So I know this is a good system and that I can reliably pay back a loan with it. Thank you for your consideration. |
