I am a 42 year old male third year medical student and a respiratory therapist by profession. I have been working in this field for the past 15 years and in between started medical school. I am married with two boys ages 7 and 3 and currently a home owner. I took off completely from school to work and put my financial house in order and successfully paid some bills off and also accumulated some more since family and responsibilities increased. The past two years I have grossed $70,000.00-$75,000.00 and my wife a nurse (LPN) has also grossed $35,000.00-$40,000.00. We have been on time with all our bills except for some minor lateness on some of our Credit card bills and because of that the interest rates have been doubled. My problem is That since I am starting school again to do my rotations/clerkships in a hospital, I can only work on weekends and my wife salary will not be able to cover all the bills. I will still be making payments on my bills but if I get a loan from prosper, I will be able to pay the high interest rate credit cards and also pay my school fees. I have a year and a half to Finish my medical program and will be to pay the loan from prosper in less than three years. I intend to use $10,000.00 to pay off my high interest rate credit cards, $10,000.00 To pay my school fees and $5,000.00 to help pay my sons fees since he is in private school.
