** Mississippi Rate Cap at 9% Interest ** I borrowed $1000 from Prosper, and have reinvested that amount, and a little more back into Prosper members. I paid off that loan early, and now want to borrow again to reinvest. I plan to repeat this process, because as I see it, Prosper is a four-fold blessing: 1) I am blessed by the loan I receive from Prosper members. 2) Those I lend it to receiving a blessing. 3) The interest I pay to my lenders blesses them. 4) The interest my borrowers pay to me is a blessing. It is really a wonderful thing all around, and I am building a little bit of a nest egg in the process. I was quite surprised that my credit rating has slipped to a "B". I have never been late paying a bill or had a delinquency. The only money that I owe is what I had to borrow when I adopted my sons. You will notice that I have a number of accounts open. In the past, I moved money to any account that had a 0% interest rate for an introductory period to save money. I now need to close those accounts that have a zero balance to bring my credit score up again. Also, I recently consolidated my 0% loans into a loan that has a larger monthly payment. This has brought up my DTI, but will allow me to pay off the money I owe more quickly. I am a bi-vocational pastor, and have ample income to pay all my bills, including this Prosper loan. If I need to, I can use the dividends I earn from the money I have already invested in Prosper to help make the payments. (As it is, I usually invest that money as I receive it each month.)
