Hello Everyone, My family and I were victims of Hurricane Katrina and lost everything. We returned to New Orleans in September and decided to purchase a home that was flooded since ours was totally blown away and sat on a bayou close to Lake Ponchartrain. I received the loan for purchase and money to complete all the repairs needed, but did not know that the repairs had to be completed in advance to receive the draws. I had to put down close to 15k on the loan and have taped my account. I will use the money funded on prosper to do the repairs in advance and receive the money back in the draw. This loan can be repaid very quickly 2-4 months tops since I have approximately 50k in escrow with the lender, I just need to do the repairs in advance. I hope this makes sense to you. Also the reason my debt to income ratio is so high is because I put in my monthly income as my yearly income by mistake.. Also my credit rating should be higher but I have approximatley 11 inquiries recent due to shopping my home loan. I have no late payments on my account, not a one.
