About me I am a thirty-two year old male living in Indiana. I have two wonderful kids ages 7 and 9. I currently live with my parents to take care of my parents and help with their bills. I am a professional Software Developer and have been for 10 years. Explanation of Bad Credit. My credit problems are the result of a number of things. It started off when I was a young adult around 21-22 yrs old. I wasn?t the most responsible person at that time and let a lot of things in my life go, including bills. It wasn?t until we found out that my daughter was going to be born that I started thinking as a ?family man? rather than a young adult just wanting to have fun. Within the last 9 years I went through job losses due to cut backs, changes in my pay rate ranging from 25k-35k/yr. Because of the job cutback and pay cut backs a lot of my bills were not paid on time. Although I have been struggling financially for the past few years I feel I am in a comfortable spot in my career, I now make 52k/year and will be getting a raise in the next week or so putting me at possibly over 55k. I feel that if I could just get caught up on my credit and current bills I can stay this way and start the new year off with a bang. I do have a few DQ?s on my credit which I do intend on paying off with my loan. In looking at my credit one could easily say how irresponsible I am because of what is on there, but that could not be farther from the truth. I DO want to pay off everything that is on there. But when your living paycheck to paycheck it makes it really difficult to get things in order. Especially if something unexpected happens like car breaking down or kids get sick, or worse yet your parents are having a harder time than you are and you have to move in with them to help them out financially as well. This seems to be my current situation. I believe in taking care of my responsibilities, despite what my credit says. What will I do with the money loaned to me: My first attempt at getting a loan took to long, so I am hoping that by lowering the amount asked I can get somewhere. My goal now is to be able to pay rent and my car. I am trying to keep it realistic by keeping the amount low, plus I can pay it back quicker and be able to show the bidders that I can indeed pay back my debt. current concerns: Car: $385 Rent: $600 Bank: 968 ( I owe bank for over draft protection) Total 985.00 (just car and Rent) After I pay my overdraft protection from bank I will only have $548 to pay the above. This is only for this month. After getting this caught up I should be fine and back to normal again. Also note that the over draft will be automatically paid once my check gets direct deposited on the 1st. Monthly Finanancial Details: Monthly income gross: 4375.00 Monthly income net: 2806.00 (paid twice monthly ? 1st and 15th) Monthly outgo (normally): Gas (car) 360.00 Food 300.00 Rent 600.00 Support 600.00 Car 385.00 Total: 2245.00 I will have $561 left to make the payments on my Prosper loan. Closing I would like to say that although my credit doesn?t show it, I am a good person who just made bad decisions in the past. I have grown a lot in the last several years and appreciate credit and money and realize how important they are. I intend to start saving money and start to grow again to be solid in credit and finance again. I have had a rough year and would appreciate the help and bids. I promise to not let you down.
