I am a lender with Prosper and want to try borrowing, I am want to show my daughter how this all works. And maybe she will become interested in investing. I am also trying to learn more myself about how this all works. We will be reinvesting all proceeds back into Prosper. About Me: I do note my debt to income ratio is a bit high, I did not include rental income from two condos when I input my data, In addition to owning our own home we own a vacation condo in Hawaii that rents out for an average of $ 1300.00 per month and a Condo in California that brings in $ 1400.00 for a total of $ 2700 per month rental income. My income is over 200k a year and thankfully I could payoff this prosper loan at any time if needed. I have invested about $ 3000 in the Prosper system right now with my active loans as follows, Loans: Active loans: 47 Principal loaned: $2,469.20 Avg. interest rate: 22.95% I will leave my funds plus the loan proceeds in Prosper so that even if our loan portfolio goes bad we will still Have enough invested to make sure this loan is paid. How we will spend the Prosper funds All loan proceeds will stay in the Prosper system My daughter and I will invest in higher risk loans.
