My wife and I have sat down and prayed about our goals for the new year. We have decided to continue our investment in the wonderful people of Tyler, TX. Our next project. This little 900 square foot home built in the late 60's for a WWII veteran after he returned from the war to his young bride. The home was purchased last year by a would be investor and out of greed was turned into a duplex. The unit was purchased by my neighbor after the first individual ran out of money. My neighbor hired me a couple of months ago to complete the renovations on the home which include: New plumbing New wiring New tub, toilets and pedastal sinks in the bathrooms. New kitchen cabinets, sinks and appliances. New flooring in all rooms. New sheetrock, doors, energy effecient windows, and paint in all rooms. New roof and vinyl siding. We are working closely with Tyler Neighborhood Services to provide housing to low income families. The housing manager has praised us for the quality of housing that we are offering in the particular area of town were the home is at. The funds from this listing will be used to complete our acquisition of the property and begin construction on a new two bedroom unit behind the first. The remaining funding will come from an equity loan against the property. We expect to complete the unit in 60-90 depending on the weather. After completion we will be listing the unit through Tyler Neighborhood Services and hopefully rent it to a deserving young family or single parent family.
