I am a retail manager who earns $920 net every two weeks. My mortgage, utilities, cell phone and cable bill equal $656 per month, because my girlfriend and I split the bill. I do not own a car, so all of the associated costs (insurance, gas, payments) don't exist. The reason I am in debt is because of moving around, and legal fees. These are no longer issues and I am ready to pay down my debt. I was refered to this website by a friend, and I have two main reasons why I am here. 1. This is people helping people. We are saving each other from financial institutions which charge exorbitant rates and keep us in debt. I would much rather pay interest to an individual than a conglomerant. 2. This is a way to consolidate all my debt into a managable monthly payment. I am excited at the opportunity to get out debt, and then hopefully, turn around and start investing in prosper.com people. I plan on making the minimum monthly payments for the first three months in order to start building up a cash buffer zone. Then I will aggresively pay down the remaining balance and hopefully be done with this debt in about a year. Thank you investors for helping me on my way to financial freedom. |
