Greetings, Thank you--I appreciate that you are reading this, and that you are considering lending me money. Prosper.com is a great idea, and I am excited to be a part of it. Please read on, and learn about this possibility. I'll start with a request: Don't decide to lend me money until you've thought it through, and until you decide that this is really the right thing for you to be doing, today. It is only compatible with my own philosophy of life if I know that you will lend me money when it is really the right choice for you. I love the idea that Prosper.com can match me up with people who believe in me. You are not just a loan company's computer analyzing and crunching numbers and deciding that I am an excellent, safe bet--you are a real human being, who believes in me. That is really inspiring, and I know it will help me achieve even more success. I am a law student at the Yale Law School, the #1 law school in the nation. I will graduate in three months. For post-graduation, I have an offer of permanent employment with a base salary of $145,000 and with bonus the total will be around $170,000. My parents paid for my law school--I am debt-free, other than some balances I am holding on 0% APR promotions. In a balance-sheet sense, I am debt-free. If I sold all of my investments right now, I could pay off all of my 0% balances immediately, and have plenty left over. I would have a perfect credit rating were it not for those 0% APR balances. Unfortunately the credit bureaus don't see my bank accounts, IRA or brokerage accounts. My parents would always repay any loans if it would be necessary, anyway. I hope you will think it over, and that you will decide to invest in "reliable"--It will work out tremendously for us both! |
