Hi there I am 48 and have worked the same job for 23 years. My wife was ill and then laid off in April this year and we fell a little behind.
She is back to work and we are trying to pay off 2 cards HSBC 800.00 and Lowes 700.00 and Capital One 320.00. I bring home 3100.00 plus my wife brings home 1890.00 we have Christmas comming and would like to by some gifts so not to use the credit cards anymore.. We have a house paymnet 2364.00 and NO car payments. We do try to pay cash for most things and stay out of debit. We have 3 children 15,12,11 and value our credit however things happen and we are trying to get ahead by paying off the cards improving our credit score and refinancing early next year.
