ABOUT ME: I am 38 years old, married for 17 years, 3 children ages 10, 11, and 13. I have been aself emplyed Tax Preparer for 10 years and also work part-time repairing computers. EXPLANATION OF BAD CREDIT ETC.: I have always been responsible with my finances but 11 years ago my credit scores slipped to HR because I was in a bad car accident and was unemployed for several months. I also accumulated quite a number of medical bills during that time. While I was still bedridden from my accident, my wife and I found out that she was pregnant with our youngest. I recovered quicker than expected and managed to keep my management job and insurance until our baby was born. The company I worked for began closing and selling off stores due to their own financial problems and as soon as my wife and child were safe, I went into business for mysel. It has been a long and bumpy road since then, but my income has become stable in the past few years, and I have paid off as much of my delinquent debt as I could. My income and overall life has greatly improved, but my credit scores are still HR, due partly to my inability to get a loan and demonstrate my ability to pay it. This is something that I am hoping Prosper can help me with. I'm asking for a chance to prove myself and get my credit scores back up to where they should be. My plan is to get a series of small loans on Prosper that I am determined to pay back on time every single month and get myself out of this mess once and for all. If you bid on my listing, I will not let you down! I have the income available to pay the loan and am willing to make automatic payments. I'm hoping to become a lender myself and help others prosper as I help myself. Please help give me a chance to prove myself by bidding on my listing, thanks. WHAT I WILL DO WITH THE MONEY LOANED TO ME: $1200 will go to pay off medical bills that are listed as delinquent. $800 will go to help my Mother pay for her monthly medication for November and December. She lives with us and is disabled. Her new prescription drug plan has a yearly maximum that she was unaware of. $2400 per year, then they call the next $3000 a gap. She just hit the gap. It starts over in January and now that I am aware of how it works, I can plan our finances to make sure I will be able to help her without additional strain on the family. I have enough money left in the bank to comfortably make my Prosper payments. Due to the seasonal nature of my business, my loan will be repaid by April. HERE ARE MY MONTHLY FINANCIAL DETAILS: Adjusted Gross Income (figure is from last year's tax return divided by 12)$3138 Income From Computer Repair $150 per month appx. I cannot verify this part because it is a direct deposit and I get no check stub. Social Security for my adopted daughter: $300 per month (My Sister's Child; She passed away at age 30 last December and we are raising her as our own.) Mother's Disability $598.20 Mother's Other Income $320 Total net monthly family Income $4506.20 Mortgage/Rent: $ 1200 (paid thru February) Phone: $ 20 Gas: $ 50 (300 credit) Electricity & Water: $ 280 (80 cresit with water) Car Loan and Operating Expenses: $ 699 Food: $ 800 Insurance: $ 219 Cable/Internet: $ 129 Clothing, expenses for children, etc. $ 150 Credit cards and loans that won't be paid off with my Prosper loan: $ 75 Other: $ 100 Total Monthly Expenses : $ 3722 Remaining Income that I can use to make monthly payments on the Prosper loan (net income minus expenses): $ 784.20 |
