Hello Prosper Lenders:

My name is Erin (I am in the top picture.) The children in the pictures are my niece and nephew, and the cat is mine, his name is Fuzz.I am relisting at a lower amount.  I am asking for help so I can get back on track financially and spiritually.  I am almost 30 years old and I work as a Social Worker in the state of Washington.  I originally moved here in 2003 to care for my niece while my brother and sister-in-law established their careers in the medical field.  I was their nanny for one year, and still spend most of my free time with them.

I want a fresh start so that I can actually start saving money and I hope to purchase a home in the next few years.  I make decent money ($3500/month gross) and I love my job.  In fact, next fall I will be working toward my Masters Degree in Social Work so that I can advance my career.  I have worked in social services for 10 years and have recently found my niche determining eligibility for people to become foster parents.  I would like to become a licensed foster parent myself one day and provide a home for sibling groups, so that they can stay together during the turmoil of family separation.

Unfortunately, I have discovered that my mentally ill mother took 3 credit cards out in my name 5 years ago.  I didn't find out until they had gone to collections.  I addition, she opened a checking account in my name and several checks were returned.  Initially, the debts totaled $13000.00.  I have them down to approximately $5000.00.  I cannot ask my father to help because he is paying for her assisted living home--she was recently diagnosed with Dementia at age 58.

In addition, I am recently divorced and found out that there will be some debts that I was unaware of that my ex incurred while we were married.  Since Washington is a community property/debt state, I am as much responsible for the debts as he is.  I have also made some poor financial choices in the past, to include taking out payday loans (now totaling $2200) in order to move out of the home that my ex and I shared.  Until recently, I did not keep tabs on my credit report like I should have.  I need this loan/new start so that I can repair my conscience surrounding the mistakes that I have made.  I want to feel good about myself and prove that I am responsible and can take care of not only myself, but others, too.  I would like to become a lender once I have established a better credit report and have the money to help others.

My current living expenses are as follows:
-payday loans totaling $2200 (this was the biggest mistake I have EVER made and what is really hurting me right now)
-debts from my mother: $220/month
-rent: $750/month (this is average in Seattle, if you can believe it!)-utilities: $50-100/month
-car payment: $340/month-auto insurance: $150/month
-student loans: $113/month
-personal loan taken out by my ex: $391/month total (toward balance of $16000)

With a $3000 loan I will pay off the payday loans and use the remaining $800 to pay off one of the delinquent credit cards at the high interest rate of 23%.  After that, I will have approximately $1000.00 per month to pay off my Prosper loan and really start knocking down the remaining debts incurred by my mother.  I expect to be free and clear of those debts within about six months, as I am starting an extra part-time job in two weeks.

I will gladly provide more information or documentation as requested.  I work hard and want to build a real future for myself.  Thank you so much for your consideration.
