I am interested in trying out this whole Prosper idea behind lending. I am looking to build up my credit by taking a couple small loans out for things that I would be purchasing anyway. This gives me time to pay and close out some loans, while building my credit. I am starting school in January and I am going to need to get a laptop soon due to my schedule and the train ride into school. Since the school (Metro State College of Denver) is downtown and the commute and parking is a pain. Thankfully Denver has an awesome light-rail train system that is only about a mile from my house. Having the laptop allows me to be able to work on my school projects while on the road and in the commons at school. I am a Computer Science major (I already have my AS Degree and work in my field) while minoring in Networking. I am going to purchase a Mac Book since I will need the performance that it provides, the security and versatiliy of a Mac. (Run both Windows and Mac) I am also working on a few projects of my own which require OpenSTEP implementations that are available on Linux and on Mac OSX. Eventually I hope to take my ideas and venture out with my own company. My Monthly Finances: My Income: Net 4300 Wifes Income: Net 1000 Rent: 929 Cars: 577 (2 of them) Utilities: 200 Gas: 200 Groceries: 300 Student Loans: 100 Credit Cards: (Varies as most of my income pay these down, minimum is about $300, average I am paying is over $1000) School is being paid for through the GI Bill, the student loans are from years ago when I started on my Computer Science Degree. I don't mind any other questions, since I have been recently juggling my credit situation around (I traded a car for a less expensive one, etc). I am just getting on my feet after relocating to Colorado from San Antonio, TX after 4 years in the Air Force as a Computer Programmer. (Can't you tell I love my career). |
