Greetings all,

My name is Mike and I?m trying to get a small loan to payoff some miscellaneous debt.  I tried getting a larger loan to pay off two bigger credit cards, but it seems my ?E? Rating is getting in the way.  So, I decided to take a lot of advise that people have been receiving and trying to get a smaller loan at a higher rate to prove myself, pay it off quickly, then try to get a larger loan.  We?ll see if this works.

Anyway, here are some details about myself and my financial history:

I recently graduated from Saint Louis University with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and landed a job with Midcoast Aviation (click here to check out this company) as a Stress Engineer.  I currently make (with mandatory overtime) $58,500 annually.  I love baseball (GO YANKS AND CARDS!!!) and play golf pretty regularly (if you want to, ask me about my experience playing Torre Pines? it was awesome!!).  I?m currently engaged to a beautiful woman (you?ve probably noticed my pics) and the wedding is set for August 4th, 2007 (if you fund my loan nicely, I might invite you!!  Hehe)

Ok, enough background, down to business.  Financially, I started out on the wrong foot.  I received my first credit card before I got to college.  Of course, being that young and stupid, I quickly maxed it out.  Thanks to my parents for bailing me out of that one.  As college wore on, I accumulated more and more credit card debt.  I took on the attitude that ?They?ll get their money, so what if it?s late??.  Obviously, the wrong attitude.  I blame nobody except myself for my financial failures.  What scared me the most was when I got a call from a lawyer telling me I was about to be subpoenaed for an outstanding debt.  Let me tell ya, that?ll make you step back and look things over.  Anyway, since then I?ve been rebuilding my credit.  A year ago, my credit score (Experian) was 550.  Today, I?ve gotten to 652 and it continues to go up as I make all of my payments on time.

Here?s a breakdown of all my payments:

Car ? $345.14
Student Loans - $413.78
Rent - $435
Insurance - $100
Utils - $132.38

Credit Cards:

Dell - $66 ($2,131.14 Total)
Chase Bank - $46 ($1,945 Total)
Walmart - $15 ($146 Total)
Bill Me Later - $10 ($525 Total)

Total Monthly ? $1,563
Gross Monthly Income - $3265

The Prosper Loan would be approximately $36/ month and would be used to take out the items in bold.  I generally pay at least $100/month on each (depending on the balance), so if I instead put $100 toward the Prosper Loan, it would be paid off in 1 year.  Obviously, I want to pay it off in a few months, because I want to turn around and get a larger loan to take out the Chase Bank and Dell accounts since they are a higher interest rate.

As you can see from my income, I can probably take care of these accounts on my own, but I want to build a bit of history with Prosper.  Therefore, I ask that you fund my loan and help me to that end.  I?m no longer the immature college student and have become a hardworking, honest professional.  I hope you find that you can trust me, and if there is anything else that you need to convince you, please don?t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you very much,

Mike
