Eric's Credit Community

Hello Everyone,

    This is my first experience with Prosper and I hope it goes well. I am a Senior at Southern Illinois University and a member of the Illinois Air National Guard. My career goal is to fly for the Air Force full time, and to increase my chances of getting selected for a flight slot I have taken a second major in Aviation Flight. This has been a fun and rewarding experience and I have built over 125 hours in the past year of flying. This has, however, led to the first real long term debt of my adult life in the form of a student signature loan. These loans have a high interest rate and many fees associated with them, so I figured it would benefit me to use my first Prosper loan pay off half of the loan well before repayment is scheduled to begin to lower the principal and keep the interest from steamrolling out of control by the time it's time to begin payment. 
    I have an immaculate credit history, with its only weakness being that I have only been using my credit for the past three years. In that time I have taken a proactive and responsible approach to strenghtening my credit score/history and I plan to continue to do so with this loan. I am sure it has been said before but I guarantee this is a no risk loan, and I hope it is the first of many successful transactions I make on this website.
