ABOUT ME; I am 39 years old, a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, divorced as of June, and a single mom. Last year, October 2005, my family went through a tough time. We lived in Key West, Florida, and Hurricane Wilma flooded the island, and we lost much of our furniture and treasured possessions. We had to live in a hotel room for 5 months, then when we were finally given new quarters, (my husband is in the military) we found out we were being transferred in June. I suppose the stress was too much for my husband, who wanted a separation. I opted to go ahead with a divorce, to save my daughter the heartache of waiting for the axe to fall. After the divorce, I moved back to my hometown to be close to my parents who are retired and aging and can use my help. The hurricane, move and divorce ate up all my savings, which was approximately $17,000. I am renting a small house that is perfect for my daughter and I. I have my own business, selling essential oils and aromatherapy products, but with the move to another state, I lost my client base and haven?t built a new one fast enough to cover expenses. I have taken a job with the city, which I plan to keep until I retire, with good benefits, and I will be making good money, but I am behind on my bills right now, and I don?t want to slip into debt I can?t get out of. ABOUT MY INCOME: I currently make about $70 per month from my aromatherapy business I am receiving $2359 per month alimony and child support (Alimony paid until July 2008) I will be making $1342 per month salary with my new job ABOUT MY ASSETS; I have two checking accounts, as I am in the process of switching all my checking and savings to USAA I have two savings accounts, one for me, and one for my daughter. Total in checking and savings: 317.40 ABOUT MY DEBT; Rent: $700 Insurance: (vehicle and renters) $94.32 Utilities: $229.65 Credit Cards: $341.00 Phone, Cell phone, Cable: $387.00 TOTAL: $1751.97 As you can see, I have the ability to pay my loan off. I hope to be able to pay it off early, and build my savings back up. I plan to help others through this wonderful website, because sometimes all people need is a little help to get their lives back on track. Thanks in advance for bidding. |
