ABOUT ME: I am a 27 year old and have been with my partner for 2 years. We are just starting foster care classes and have no children as of yet. I have been with my current employer for a year and a half and have had a lot of success there. I am also a half-time student. My partner works for her grandparents and has been off and on for 8 years. She is a full time student with 2 years left to go. EXPLANATION OF BAD CREDIT ETC.: I used to have good credit but through a series of bad decision making (ie letting friends have cell phones under my name or not acting financially responsible with the money I have had. My partner has bad credit due to medical bills alone. She is the first person who taught me about paying off debts using the snowball effect, budgeting, creating positive cashflow, and many other monetary habits that I know will help us in years to come. We are both working towards paying off all of our debts because we want to have a good financial backing in the future when we are raising our kids. We have seriously started pursuing this endeavor during the last six months. I found out about Prosper.com through a magazine article and after reading about it, I would like to start with a series of small loans on Prosper in order to consolidate my debt. After we are more financially stable, we would both love to be lenders on this network. Thank you for the consideration. WHAT I WILL DO WITH THE MONEY LOANED TO ME: I plan to use $568.00 to pay 10% to each bill that we owe on. Then I plan to use the $532.00 leftover to completely pay off two medical bills. HERE ARE MY MONTHLY FINANCIAL DETAILS: Net income after taxes and payroll deductions from all sources: $ 2,100.00+ (this is base pay, I earn commission) Spouse's Income: $1,100.00 Total net monthly family Income $3,200.00 Mortgage/Rent: $497.00 Phone: $120.00 Gas: $28.00 Electricity & Water: $ 80.00-$100.00 Car Loan and Operating Expenses: $670.00 (car loans) and $200.00 for gas = $870.00 Food: $ 200.00 Insurance: $ 197.00 Cable/Internet: $ 120.00 Clothing, expenses for children, etc. $50.00 (we put it into savings and then pull out as needed) Credit cards and loans that won't be paid off with my Prosper loan: We pay about $350.00 a month to cover past medical bills for my partner Other: Gift Fund/Giving Money: $50.00 (monthly) Other: Past Debt Pay-Off: $300.00 Total Monthly Expenses : $ 2,882.00 Remaining Income that I can use to make my monthly payments on the Prosper loan (net income minus expenses):$318.00 |
