I have been in the real estate business for 11 years and though my credit score itself is low, my report will show that I have paid off nearly $20,000 in debt this year alone in order to pursue a business loan. I am an owner/operator of a small real estate licensing school that is located inside of my family's real estate office. I have owned and operated this school for 4 years and I am looking to expand. The school income is roughly $3,000 per month because I can only fit 12 students in my current space. The expansion would allow me to fit up to 35 students. In spite of my lower score (mostly due to medical bills that I have paid in full: I would be happy to send a copy of my actual report to any interested lender), I am financially stable. I have an IRA, money market, 401K, personal savings, stocks, universal life insurance policy and mutual funds. I can also fax copies of my statements to prove that I have these things. I have been working closely with my financial planner for 3 years to improve my financial situation. I also have 10% ownership in the real estate office in which I work. I am a Broker/Manager and can prove that as well. My goal is to start construction for expansion as soon as possible. The expansion involves knocking down some walls and putting up some doors. I am a college educated, degreed honest person who had some hard times (divorce,medical, etc.) who is looking to expand my business. Another sob story? Not quite, I can prove this with my credit report. At this time my only debts are 2 small credit cards, a student loan and a car.
