I am owner of a custom sports apparel business.  We started in 2006, providing uniforms, sports apparel and hats to rec & school teams.  Initially we used a network of suppliers to obtain products and perform the custom embroidery and screen printing, that we would then ship to our customers.  We are now looking to add our own shop to have more control over the design, increase profits, and lower our overall costs to the customer by not having to pay out another party for their services.

We have upfront costs of $6536, which includes 15% down on our equipment lease of a embroidery machine, CAD cutter (for letters & appliques) and heat press.  The $6536 also includes the cost of updating electrical, work tables & startup materials to get us up and running.  The equipment will be run from my home, until we are able to expand the size of our operation.  We would like to use the $5000 loan on Proper as well as us putting up the remainder to acquire this equpment and get up and running.

I currently work full-time as an engineer (6 years experience with same compnay) and I also have a partner with a full time job.  My wife will be running the equipment as needed during the day and we are using a portion of our salary to service the loans and equipment lease if we have any shortcomings in sales.

Our total monthly fixed costs are projected at $824/mo (including this loan, equipment lease, monthly web hosting fees & facility updates).  This puts us at a break-even analysis of under 4 orders.  We also will have the capability to branch out and take orders for corporate apparel and potentially sell pre-cut letters & appliques to other shops in our network.We are also launching our website at www.customjack.com, to accept orders and help us market.
