For the past 4 years, I have been employed as a teaching assistant at the middle school in our community. I love working with the children and I intent to remain there until I retire. Before that, I remained at home with our own children. I was involved with the elementary school PTO, coached soccer, and was a member of an endless list of volunteer committees. During this time, I had the wonderful good fortune to meet and become friends and acquaintances with many, many people in our community. My husband has a great job with a great company. His salary is substantial and his 401/benefits package is impressive. He and I decided to take a chance and open our own business in February. We provide a unique service, we host children?s parties.

The business fits perfectly into our schedules - mainly evening and weekend parties. We have met with great success. Our business runs successfully and we are more than able to meet our financial obligations. The purpose of this loan is to increase our current offerings. We have a piece of land adjacent to our lease property (about ½ acre) that is available to us. We plan to fence this in, purchase canopy tents, table and chairs, and outdoor lighting. This will allow us to offer outdoor events during the spring/summer/early fall. We also plan to upgrade our refrigeration unit. Additionally, we are in the remarkable position of being able to add two new themes to enhance those already in place.  The loan would assist in the purchasing of inventory to complete those themes.

The concept of Prosper, people lending to people is truly inspirational. We will absolutely being paying this loan off before the 3 years, and with that, we fully intend to be lenders ourselves.
