Let me begin by saying I am a goofy, kid at heart adult looking to better her life by becoming an entrepreneur. You see, I love cooking, cooking is what I do, and I wanted to take that passion and make it a career, because like most kids, my parents did not have a lot of money so I did not have a lot of things while growing up which makes me appreciate what I have as an adult. Anyway, I love cooking and I love kids, so I thought why not? Why not put my love of cooking and my love for children together to make one terrific idea. A cooking camp for underpriviledged and school-age children. I already give my 2 nieces and nephew cooking lessons, and they seem to enjoy it and I love it too! I can teach these children "how to make toast" without burning themselves or the toast, or "how to boil water", or even "how to make a sandwich" for mommy and daddy. I could teach them the fundamentals of cooking with love, patience, and "food for thought" while they would have fun counting chocolate chips, or licking the frosting bowl or mashing potatoes. The little ones would learn and I would reap the rewards! |
