Hello,

I am currently a lender on Prosper.  I am placing this small loan ad to see how this system works from the borrower's perspective. 

I am a homeowner, a 9 year veteran police officer, and a restaurant owner.  In fact, my partners and I are currently preparing to open up a 2nd and 3rd location here in the Portland Metro area. 

My credit score is high and my rating here is AA. I have great credit, great income, and I have not intentions of blemishing my excellent record.  (I have a "rainy day/fun stuff/vacation/tools from Home Depot/taking out the girlfriend" savings account that is well funded and therefore repayment of this loan is not even an issue.

I am willing to spend the few dollars in interest to see how well this system works.  I consider this a low cost out experiment that might prove to be a useful source of funding for later business expansions and other expenditures.  I am seeing a lot of positive in this system and I am starting to see that this might be a more agreeable system for lending and borrowing than banks or creditors, while keeping rates reasonable.
