I have signed up to be a lender on Prosper and would like to know what the site is like from a borrower's experience too.
I am an AA credit, extremely low DTI, fully employed as a portfolio manager (20 years of work experience, an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania), single/no kids with very limited financial obligations.
I read Yunus Muhammad's autobiography, "Banker to the Poor" last year and became very interested in micro-lending as a mechanism of providing credit to the "unfundable." I have been really impressed with the value Prosper can deliver, the number of borrowers and lenders on the site already and the possibility of making a difference with P2P lending.
