My name is Keith, I am 40 years old and work for a large telecommunications provider in Atlanta. I had been working on rebuilding my credit for a couple of years, when earlier this year I was broken into and had several items either destroyed or stolen. Sadly, my renters policy only covered the current value, not the replacement cost (I?ve since rectified this). So, I?m stuck paying for a 37? flat screen TV I enjoyed a total of 30 days as all of the money went back into rebuilding my computer, since it is more than entertainment, it?s where I handle all of my business financial and otherwise. As a result, I quickly ran up some debt only to find that I owed the I.R.S. a couple of grand. Recently, I had to have a tooth extracted (darn those daily White Mocas) and absolutely need to pay for a bridge as well as some car issues which could become serious if not taken care of. I am about to transition into outside sales for the same company, and my smile and car will be key to my success. I?ve taken the necessary steps to control my spending. Starbucks ($4.99 x 2 daily $60 a week) gone; Cigarettes (1 carton $40 a week) gone; I?ve gone through all my bills and cut expenses where it was sensible. The biggest area was Cable, expanded basic saves me about $80 a month from premium. Heck, I don?t even watch that much TV anyway. Usually just rent dvd?s?which at $18 a month from Blockbuster online, makes more since than the $30+ I was dropping locally to rent. My current salary is $50,000 a year not including commission with a guaranteed raise every six months. Though I made more in 2005, my commissions have been considerably less this year and are not dependable when structuring a budget. Once I complete training for my new position, I expect to make a higher base salary before commission. My ability to repay my loan is based on this: Monthly Income: $3337.00 Rent: $925.00 Electric: $112.00 Car: $225.00 All Insurance: $275.00 Phone: $50.00 Food: $250.00 Water: $55 Cable: $17 Gym: $48 Internet: $50.00 Misc. Expenditures: $617.00 Prosper Loan: $280.00 Total Expenses: $2931.00 Total Monthly CF (After Expenses):$406.00 I have firmly established my goals for work, life and future. Your help in maintaining these goals would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Keith A. [LAST NAME DELETED] |
