Hello,I am a 27 year old from Baltimore, Md. I am an I.T proffesional who has worked with the same company for 7 years. Two years ago, my fathers apartment burned down and I decided that since I am all he has, I would step up and take care of him. We bought a small house together, and my plan is to pay it off so he can finally have a place of his own. The house needed repairs, including the basement, windows and furnace so we got to find out about all the joys of home ownership right away! At the same time, I decided to try out real estate in addition to my full time job and college to help pay off everything and get us ahead. My friend also moved to Boston and sold her car to me, which I have been paying her back monthly for. I just found out she is having her first baby, I know she would be very happy to get her balance all at once! With home repairs, the car, out of pocket school costs and real estate not being as profitable as I thought with the time I had left to devote to it, I accumulated a nice chunk of debt. I'm doing fine and paying everything on time, with extra to put on my credit card..but I would love to simplify everything into one monthly payment. I am currently paying almost 700 dollars a month for all of these things seperately, plus my half of the mortgage which is 500 dollars. I bring home 2k a month so I am not struggling. My only problem is keeping track of everything so I have made a late pay on my credit card before. But with the responsibility of being in a group, this will not be a problem. I have always been the responsible one that my friends call for help or advice and I refuse to let anyone down. I am also looking for a part time job, and will put that pay towards my balance also. I am very excited to find out about this community of people helping each other, and once I beat down my own debt, I plan to repay the favor! P.S - I have a great pic of me and my dad at the Nascar race I took him to for his birthday, so keep an eye out! |
