Hello All. We are a beverage distribution company based in Orlando, Florida. The company was created in January of 2006 and is licensed both federally as an importer and wholesaler and at the state level as a beer , wine, and liquor distributor. We currently have 4 agreements in place to import and distribute spirits into the United States. 3 of these agreements include our own private labels and national distribution rights ( Rum and vodka from Panama, Cachaca- brazillian rum, and Vodka from Lithuania) The 4th agreement is for distribution rights east of the Mississippi river as well as Texas and Illinois of a premium Mexican tequila. We are also in negotiations to import beer and bottled water from Greenland and an energy drink from Germany. Our 3 private label products are currently going through FDA testing and label approval and all 4 products are being registered and federally trademarked. These processes take time and this is why we need the money to bridge the time span between now and getting our products on the shelves in late 2006 .The first product to hit the market should be the Mexican premium tequila and we have been gauging interest and pre-selling it to retailers in the central Florida area. Our current presales look to generate about 65k in gross sales and we are not done spreading the word. We are also scheduled to have our tequila taste tested by a large chain (160 stores) in early to mid October. The initial sales of just the tequila should go a long way in paying back this loan. Within 12 to 18 months we hope to be able to repay the favor and put funds out to lend on Prosper. We appreciate your consideration . A little about me , I am a married father of one and am trying to build a business to pass down from generation to generation. Both of my grandfathers were entrepreneurs with successful businesses in the state of Florida, unfortunately they both passed away before they could pass the torch (one died of cancer and the other in a plane crash). I guess I get my drive and desire to be my own boss from them. I started mowing lawns when I was 8 years old and then continued through my early twenties , later I ran a pressure washing business in my spare time while working as a stockbroker for Charles Schwab. When the market turned south the company downsized and I started pressure washing full time and building up a client list including Marriott , PF Changs, Julian Prioperties, Property managers and homeowners. We cleaned everything from shopping centers to hotels to heavy machinery. When the real estate market started heating up I sold my company to my uncle and got my real estate salespersons license and eventually my brokers license and invested in the local housing market and learned a lot about the industry. I realized that all of my income was dependent on the real estate market and decided to diversify into other areas and this is where the distribution business was born. We figured that when times are good people drink and when times are bad people drink so this was the type of industry that had staying power and could stand the tests of time. I have 3 partners in this business 2 of which grew up in my neighborhood and went to the same high school and college as I did. The highschool that we went to has produced several major league baseball players, actors, even a member of a popular boy band; we plan to use these connections to help promote our products nationwide.
