I am new to Prosper and have lent out a little money over the past few months. I would like to borrow with the goal of re-lending. If something bad happens in the next few years to cause the people that I would lend to to not be able to pay me back, then I will simply sell some of my stock, of which I would have more than $3000.00 ( even with a big drop in the market). In a sense I look at Prosper as a way to profit from the equity that I have in mostly blue-chip and some some small cap stocks. Also, the monthly payment of $96 is below the $100 that I had set aside as a monthly Prosper investment, so another option would be for me to simply apply my monthly Prosper stipend to paying this loan. I also have automatic stock purchases that I can stop in order to make this payment, so I have many layers of redundancy which would allow me to easily pay this. Thanks |
