Requesting a $3,000.00 loan for the purpose of debt consolidation, credit increase and lasik. Bank turned me down for a loan, my GL suggested I edit this, more info is posted in my profile. Since being turned down in April I've started a 401K at work for 10%, opened a savings account at a credit union with payroll deduction of $100.00 each month, taken out a $500 secured loan from the credit union. Half of $100 goes towards paying off the loan. With a Prosper loan I'll increase the amount of deduction to cover monthly payments of the $500 CU loan and the 3K Prosper loan. There's one branch for this credit union, a half hour from where I work. Open between 9-5 Mon-Fri, out of sight, out of mind. I'm making progress towards inproving my score and this loan will help greatly. Lasik surgery isn't a luxury item. I work in a dusty environment. I sand the boats to prep them for painting and I end up with dust irritating my eyes. I wore contact lenses for 20 years but had gone to the optometrist for glasses because I needed my eyes contact-free before my lasik screening. I wear a full face respirator at work that doesn't accomodate glasses. I didn't want to go bargain basement, my eyes are very important to me. I chose Dr. Phillips because of the testimonials from doctors he's worked on. http://soundeye.com $3,000.00 loan breaks down to; 650.00 debt consolidation 750.00 secured credit card from bank ($400.00 to lasik, no max out on card)) 900.00 towards lasik surgery 200.00 towards cell phone and "Pay As You Go" cards to eliminate $50/mo to T-Mobile 500.00 Product development, make prototype for presentation to two different companies Product development money is for an item I want to present to two companies. I'll share this info with my GL at this time. I can go into production with 50% down on wholesale pricing if interest is expressed. I've had my own business in the past, owned a neon company for eight years (hence, the username) from 1988 to 1996. Average 1,800.00 pay per month ($16.00 per hour minus 401K and CU savings deduction) Monthly rent $700.00 Utilities 60.00 Internet/TV 60.00 (looking for less expensive internet) Car Ins 88.00 (I own a 1993 Buick Century, no payments) Cell phone 50.00 (I'm amazed at how little I use the phone, mainly to call family) Entertainment 100.00 Food/Gas 100.00 Catchup bills 200.00 (debt consolidation will eliminate this) TOTAL 1358.00 10% 401K payroll deduction-$604.00 total at this time $500 secured loan from the CU, $3K loan from Prosper and the $750 secured credit card from the bank, six months from now I will be where I want to be credit-wise.
