My monthly income—after taxes and after expenses—is in
excess of $4000. I have been upgrading our backyard recreation area all summer, and have decided to further add to the facilities given the tough economy and the availability of cheap construction labor/materials. The upgrade includes an outdoor kitchen with fire pit and hot tub (see picture for some details). I can liquidate assets to pay for the construction, but am avoiding doing so given market conditions...in addition, I am a big believer in Prosper, and I support the concept of peer-to-peer lending. I have been an active lender on Prosper, and I currently have in excess of $100,000 placed with more than 900 different borrowers…I have lent more than $215,000 since joining Prosper almost 2 years ago… See Lending stats for details on this... I expect to receive a cash bonus (after tax) of several times the amount requested sometime in early January...and depending on the interest rate I may pay off some or all of the loan at that time. The revolving credit balance listed above is a HELOC on my primary residence. I believe my income and my credit rating speak for themselves, but if anyone has any specific questions please let me know. |
