Purpose of loan: After spending 10 years as a high school teacher, a job I loved, I finally had to find a job that actually paid me enough money to live. I have found great job in cancer research and now make enough money to live a bit more comfortably. The issue is the bills incurred during the "teaching years." I would really like to pay them all off and just make one big montly payment to one organization/person. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I now have the salary to repay it. Even during the "teaching years" I always managed to pay my bills. I live in a house owned by my ex husband who has said that he would forgo charging me full rent for the next three years so I can concentrate on becoming debt free. He realizes that when he moved to Miami for his career - I essentially became a single mom and needed to find a career / schedule that could best facilitate raising a little girl who needed stability while trying to navigate her new world.
