Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to pay off a high interest rate CC. I would like to pay this card off at a lower rate. I have run a few listings that have not funded and one that has. I have decided to go with a smaller loan than the one I withdrew in the hopes that it will actually fund. I have been nibbling at this debt since last December and have managed to pay some of it down. I still have a long way to go and I am hopeful that my efforts to pay off my debt will be taken into consideration. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I am finally committed to living within my means, spending less than I earn and getting the credit card monkey off my back for good. My goal is getting rid of all my 30%+ interest. I will close all these accounts when my debt is paid off. My payment history is good. I have not been seriously late or defaulted on any loans. I am committed to paying what I owe. I pay my bills. Even tho I have been aggressively paying down my debt, by cashing out out some investments, selling on ebay and having garage sales, my creditors have continued to close ranks, lowering my available credit to around $50 to $75 above my limits, and in turn raising my interest rates based on "ratio of usage to available credit". So even tho I have thrown more than $10,000 toward these debts in the last 10 months, the increasing finance charges have reduced the payoff overall to around $6000. Its extremely frustrating. With prosper, I can have a fixed rate, a definite period to pay off, a light at the end of the tunnel. A Little bit about me: I live with a parent so I pay no rent or utilities. I do volunteer work.I raised two kids as a single parent (with a good family support system behind me) I graduated from college the same day my son graduated from high school. I attended college mostly on scholarships and grants so my own student loan amounts were small ($5K for a 4 yr degree). When my kids wanted to go to school, the grants were not there. Even with dad out of the picture, both of my children graduated from out of state schools. I would paid on their loans till they graduated and got decent jobs. My son now pays his own student loans, but my daughter just graduated and is struggling to pay for her loans. I was unemployed for about 9 months but I have been working in a very stable government job for the last two years. I recently received a $3000 increase in my annual salary, and I will still also get a 3% raise in January. I am serious about paying off these debts, The first loan I had bailed me out of a short term mess, but I am hoping to really tackle this, even if I have to do it a little at a time. I think I am far better off with a loan from here, than at the mercy of credit cards who change the rules on you monthly. I paid my first loan off early and I intend to do the same with this one. Thank you for considering me. Monthly net income: $2597.78 Monthly expenses: $ 2288 to 2488 -------------------- Housing: $ 0 Health and Car Insurance: $ 205 Gasoline, car maintenance: $300 Car Payment: $333.00 Phone, cable, internet: $ my now dad pays Food, entertainment: $ 250 Clothing, household expenses: $ varies from 0-100 Credit cards and other loans: $ 1100 Other expenses: $ 100 (my portion of daughter's student loans). |
