Purpose of loan:
This loan will help me transition out of working full-time as a consultant for others and into running my own business full-time for a second time. (please see the "My experience" section below) 

 

I own several Websites that have continued to grow rapidly in their respective niches (parenting & pets) despite only being able to work on them part-time. To begin monetizing these sites I am in the process of adding online stores to these popular Websites.

 

I fully expect the net income from these stores to more than replace the consulting income we're used to over the course of the next 6 months. By having several stores I can spread the operating costs across all of them lowering my breakeven, as well as, diversifying my revenue stream. This way even though any one of them could be quite profitable as a standalone business it is not critical to the long term success of our overall venture.

Worst case:
Once the online stores are established and operationally streamlined I can hand off responsibilities to my stay-at-home wife and two teenage sons if necessary to meet monthly financial obligations by going back into consulting for others. This reduces the risks to a bare minimum for all involved in my opinion.

My experience:
I have over 20 years of successful business experience and an excellent track record. I started and built a multi-million dollar computer wholesale business in the late 80's and early 90's before selling it to a public company.

I've held executive positions as President, VP Marketing, Director of Sales, and other senior management positions at both IT and internet companies that are well known by the public.

 

I've also worked as a consultant for large Internet companies and a few companies in non-IT related industries. My experience is quite broad and I believe very useful.

Married for 23 years, we have 4 boys ages 6 - 19, lived in same home on 12 acres near Dulles Airport for over 20 years.
