Employment: I've been employed with my company for almost 2 years now. I started as an Admin Asst making $34k (bottom of the barrel) and was promoted to a Regional Business Operations Coordinator 9 months later making $41k. Out of 1,500 employees, there are only 11 RBOC positions. I was the youngest and least tenured RBOC ever with the company. After being an RBOC for a year, I was offered another promotion with a 45% increase. I took the position and have been doing it for a month now making $60k. Prior to me working for my current company, I was working at a financial planning firm making $30k. Personal: I live at home with my parents and don't pay any rent. I am only responsible for the monthly assoc fee. My boyfriend and I (seen in photo) are planning to get engaged in the next year and married in the summer of 2010. We will not set a date until all our debts are paid off. We are projecting that will be no later than June 2009. Purpose of Loan: Pay off the only delinquent account I've ever had in my life. I have an AMEX gold card. I would always get "Charge Now and Pay Later" offers in the mail. I decided to take them up on that offer one day. I called AMEX and asked if I can charge about $12k and have a revolving balance. The gentleman who I spoke to said that I can use up to $14k in revolving charges. I made him repeat "Revolving" 4 times. He also updated my work address and number in this conversation. I took his info and gave my parents permission to use the card for holiday inventory for their dollar store last year. They already had a line of credit, but it wasn't sufficient enough to fill the store up. Small business owners in MI have had it rough so we needed as much inventory as possible. 6 weeks later, I got a call from AMEX telling me that I owed them $10k in a week. They had no record that my conversation ever existed, however, they did have my new work info. I tried speaking with other reps and supervisors, but got nowhere with them. 30 days later, the account got sent to a collections agency. The account has been delinquent since. Although this is MY card, my parents are paying the payments for their charges. We worked out an arrangement with the collections agency. My dad paid them $1k up front and agreed to pay $300/month. However, AMEX is charging about $300/month in interest and late fees so our payments are just a wash. I've never once been late for any other payment and always pay more than the min payments. At the time, $300 was all I could afford if my parents couldn't make the payment one month. At this time, they are willing to pay $400/month. We do not foresee there ever being an issue with them paying. If, for whatever reason there is, there is room in my income to pay for this loan. I am taking responsibility for the charges by getting this loan and paying the payment if ever my parents can't. For any skeptical lenders, I do intend to pay over the min payment. I also have docs supporting my income and credit reports to show my VERY CLEAN credit history. I was once a Prosper lender and know that this is a great loan to take a chance on. The return is great! Thanks in advance for all of your help! Net Income: $3,500 -$750 Car Payment, Insur & Gas -$50 Life Insur -$140 Assoc Fee -$130 Bank of America ($2,800 balance/$53 min pay) -$100 Chase ($1,125 balance, $22 min pay) -$50 Student Loan ($525 balance) -$120 Petland (Balance $750/$18 min pay) -$80 Sprint (Reimb by employer) -$400 Spending, Groceries, etc. Remaining balance goes to IRA and savings |
