Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to pay off some of my higher interest credit card debt with a more concise, consolidated payment. I would much rather have few payments a month and let fellow Prosper members gain the interest, rather than giving that interest money to the credit card companies! This loan will help me pay off my two largest balances ($7,000 & $2,500), which also have the highest interest rates (16.9% and 19%). My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I pay my bills on time and am not in a financial hardship situation. Simply looking for a smarter way to pay off debt. My monthly net pay is $4,400 with which I pay a $1,600 mortgage and $450 in auto expenses, along with a $66 payment towards a home equity line of credit. The home equity line makes up half of my $32k of revolving debt. Credit cards make up the other half, which this loan will go towards a significant chunk of. After all of my monthly expense, including utilities, groceries, and a contribution to savings, I have a buffer of approximately $500 left. This loan is to help me simplify my payments and see the end date of paying off my largest credit card debts. Thanks for considering! |
