Purpose of loan:
I have a few reasons for needing money: first and foremost I am a student living in the phenomenally expensive bay area. Right now there is a budget impasse at the state level and no financial aid checks are being sent out, including mine. I also have (a recently incurred) $800 dollars in credit card debt which is mostly school related expenses, which my financial aid check was supposed to pay off. The last reason is simple, I am young, I have not been able to establish much credit history, I would like to begin now so I can be ahead of the game (I just got my credit card).

My financial situation:
Part of my income is subsidized by my parents (thanks mom and dad!), which includes my medical coverage and cell phone bills as well as some money (details below). I recently got hired for the best internship in the history of the universe (seriously, I checked out every internship in the universe, this is the one), and they even pay me, not a ton, but it definitely helps. The value of this internship outweighs what I could receive if I was making 10 times more, seriously (and yes, even with wise investing). When it is over I am positive I will be prepared for a job well beyond what most people my age could find. I ALWAYS pay my bills on time, it's not just a matter of finance to me, but I take it personally; I take pride in being responsible. I maintain a 3.7 GPA, which I intend to improve this year. I plan everything out and I am very cautious, in fact if this budget impasse hadn't happened I am unsure if I would have even needed a loan. Although, now I am happy I found prosper (thanks to my role-model-esque boss) because I found an ingenious way to build my credit.
So to make the long story short, I really just owe some money on my credit card and need a little bit extra to make it by every month. I work as hard as I can, and never agree to something I can't commit to with every fiber of my being.

Monthly net income: $1000-1200

Monthly expenses: $1605 (includes ALL expenses)
  Housing: $800
  Car expenses: $110
  Utilities: $35
  Phone, cable, internet: $100
  Food, entertainment: $150
Groceries: $200
  Clothing, household expenses $ 170
Credit cards and other loans: $50
  Other expenses: $50

How is this kid going to pay you back?
Did I mention work as hard as I possibly can? I JUST got another part-time job showing houses for real estate agents. I am working every weekend for about 8-15 hours (at $15 p/h), which is not included in my budget. I should be getting a financial aid check from the government within a month or so, which if needed would be able to pay off my loan in full, but that is not my goal. As I said, I'd like to build my credit, so I would like to just make my minimum payments every month. Once my internship is over I will be making much more than enough to keep up with these payments as well. So I definitely have all my bases covered, and some of yours too.

Final word:
If you loan to me you are helping an extremely hard working student in need. You will sleep well every night knowing your loan will get paid back in full and on time. Above all else though, you will know you have done a good thing for someone else, and that it will come back to you in more than the form of interest. Thanks so much!
