Purpose of loan: My wife and I have took out a loan on Prosper last November for $13,000. We have it set up for direct withdrawal from our checking account and have never had an issue. At the suggestion of a lender on Prosper I would like to refinance that loan by taking out a second loan at a better rate and using that money to pay off the first loan.. My financial situation: This is my fifth year teaching and coaching in the same school district. We own our vehicle and do not have a car payment. We own our home and have about $30,000 equity built up in it. My wife works out of the home and brings in $1,500 per month in addition to my salary. My wife and I are honest people who have never defaulted on a loan and are just looking to get a fresh start with things now that she is finally able to help supplement our income. Monthly net income: $ 4,300 Monthly expenses: $ 3,500 Housing: $ 1,100 Insurance: $ 480 Car expenses: $ 160 Utilities: $ 150 Phone, cable, internet: $ 100 Food, entertainment: $ 400 Clothing, household expenses $ 200 Credit cards and other loans: $ 450 Other expenses: $ 400 (medical bills - my son's appendix burst in July, school loans) |
