Purpose of loan: I have founded an Independent Review Board (IRB) for medical studies. This is a business regulated by the FDA, and study sponsors involved in human medical research are required to use an IRB. This loan is sought as working capital and to purchase equipment (for example, we do not have a network-capable scanner) and to pay communications bills, etc. until income passes start-up costs. My financial situation: My partner is very supportive and is covering my basic personal expenses while I grow the business. She has stable employment, is a homeowner, and when this business can comfortably afford to pay us both, she will leave that job and work for the IRB. I'm in my final year of one of the very first Prosper loans (#1065) and have made 27 payments with no late or missed payments. I anticipate that friends and relatives will fund half of this loan.
