Purpose of loan: I have been a lender on Prosper for several months and wanted to check out the borrower side. I tell people about the site constantly, but thought I'd better check it out a little more thoroughly. This loan will be for that, as well as to reinvest in Prosper. I may also use some of the money to purchase supplies and equipment for the part time property management that I do. My financial situation: After paying our mortgage, and utilities, we have $1600-1900 a month left over with no car payment or credit card payment. The 49% bank card utilization is for some 4.9% balance transfers that I have for a business I have that I'm establishing credit for, separate from my personal credit. The balances are fixed for life and the money is invested in Prosper at a current rate of +17%. Pretty good return using OPM. We don't have any store credit cards, and really just save and invest the extra money. This is a low risk loan. |
