Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to?

I have a 25-mile, one-way, commute from home to work everyday. And to off-set the rising gas prices, I have been riding my motorcycle to work on a regular basis (generally at least three-times, sometimes five, depending on responsibilities after work hours and weather). While my motorcycle has been a reliable and money saving alternative, the mileage is getting up there (approaching 40K, relatively high for a motorcycle), and performance has slightly decreased (due to the mileage). From the estimates I have received to get my motorcycle back in top-performance, it would be more cost effective to sell it or trade it in for another one?.that is what I have decided to do. But rather then buying another motorcycle, I decided on a scooter, but not a traditional scooter many of you maybe thinking of (and don?t laugh?I know some of you are). They are called maxi-scooters, which is basically an automatic motorcycle. Has all the power I need to safely navigate the highways, along with increased gas mileage, lower maintenance, much lower insurance premiums as insurance companies do not recognize them as full-blown motorcycles (they will eventually I would imagine) and they are easier to ride.

My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because?

-Cannot jeopardize the work I have done to re-establish my credit rating.
-I have re-established payment status of my student loan (the primary reason of my poor credit rating) for well over a year.
-The only default collection account is for $969 with Midland Credit Management. This is stemming from an on-going bout with a large apartment management company called Arnel Management. We ended an apartment lease a few months early because of repeated negligence with complaints due to living conditions/repairs requests. This dispute has been going on since 2001.
-I have lived in the same residence for the past 4.5 years (condo under my parents name, I pay the mortgage).
-My monthly income-to-expense ratio is relatively low.
-I have been gainfully employed in a stable industry for many years (Mechanical Engineer, Medical Device Manufacturing and Design). I only recently changed companies because of a better offer.
-Much of the monthly expenses is shared with my fiance, who is also gainfully employed in another stable position (Public School teacher, w/tenure and advanced degree).

Monthly net income: $ 4500
Monthly expenses: $ Housing: $ 1300 including HOA and property tax (shared with fiance)
Insurance: $ 65 (auto only, health is free).
Car expenses: Loan Payment: $371 (last payment Jan. ?09), Gas: $250
Utilities: $ 95
Phone, cable, internet: $ 85
Food, entertainment: $ 300
Clothing, household expenses $ 75-100
Credit cards and other loans: $ 150
Other expenses: $ 150

Closing Notes:
I came across Prosper.com through various online and print articles (both successes and failures of Prosper lending/borrowing) over the past couple of years, and since it was time to apply for a new loan for myself, I have decided to try the Peer-2-Peer lending model first before applying for a traditional loan. Weather or not my loan gets fully funded, I hope to walk away with a positive experience and perhaps become a lender myself.   My initial version of my bio was all inclusive and exceeded the 4000 character limit, so this is my condensed version. I have nothing to hide so please feel free to ask any questions or concerns about myself or my financial status (questions within reason, of course).   All I ask is a loan at a fair interest rate for both parties and not expect anything unreasonable.
