Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to expand our inventory for organic food home delivery service. We have our own "better than organic- it's also local" egg production with arguably the healthiest hens and eggs in the midwest. We bring together local, sustainable food from farms in our region and deliver them in an efficient manner to families thoughout the area. We also plan on starting the first (winter) indoor veggie/henhouse project using solar access to provide vegetation for our laying hens and customer base thru the winter of '08-09. Fall is the time to harvest beef, pork and chicken from grass-fed farms. NOW is the time to add to inventory. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because our focus is on high quality food products with an emphasis on local and sustainable sources. My 20 yr background in agriculture and experience in customer service are very important along with the ambition to keep our growing family of members in good health. We have assets to support a larger loan basis and could work with local lenders if they had a concern about the growing need for healthy, local & sustainable food. We would rather work directly with investors that really care about our future and understand the meaning of community and service to your fellow man or woman. We currently service some 175 families and intend to continue to provide an expanding list of healthy food, along with information that connects these families to the farm that is their food source. |
