I am a good candidate for this loan because I have always been financially responsible.  I have excellent credit and always have had.  I pay all of my bills on time.

The only members of my household are my husband and I.  Together we bring in about $118,000.00 a year.  We do not have any children, have a solid relationship, and have been together for 14 years.  We own our home. I have been in my job for over 5 years, and in the same industry for over 20 years. My husband has been in his job for 2 years, and in the same industry for over 18 years.  My husband pays the mortgage,  and we split other expenses. I do not have a car loan. Our mortgage is standard we do not have any of those crazy loans.  We have now owned our home for 2.5 years and I want to do some work on it now that we are comfortable with our mortgage payments.

It is a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath that needs some updating, particularly in the bathrooms. The house is in Marin County, Ca which has not been as affected by the housing crunch as much as other areas of the country. I am also going to use some of the money to consolidate some bills. Prosper seems like the best way to kill two birds with one stone.
